COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Opioid Crisis is the worst public health disaster in American history, an interwoven crisis of overdose deaths and rising rates of addiction and chronic pain. Underlying the crisis is a profound and pervasive sense of stress, anxiety, isolation, and despair. How do we as attorneys respond on a personal and professional level?

Harry Nelson‘s new book, The United States of Opioids: A Prescription for Liberating a Nation in Pain, examines these questions in a 1-hour presentation that fulfills the Competence/Substance Abuse MCLE requirement, along with critical information you need to know and essential resources for your workplace, family, and community.
